Glazer Family Foundation Supports 95 Local Businesses with Hurricane Relief Grants
Wesley Chapel, FL – March 4, 2025 – Today, the Glazer family, owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, awarded funding to 95 small businesses across the Tampa Bay and West Central Florida regions that were impacted by the recent hurricane season. As part of the Glazer Family Small Business Fund, these grants provide critical relief to businesses working to rebuild and strengthen their operations.
The North Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation is proud to support 15 of these recipients, ensuring that funds go directly to those who need them most.
“It is an incredible honor to help distribute these funds to small businesses that are the backbone of our community,” said Michael Berthelette, Foundation Chair. “The selection process was based on applications and demonstrated need, ensuring that support reaches those most affected. We are grateful to the Glazer family for their generosity and commitment to our local economy.”
Applications for the second round of donations are open now until Friday, March 14. Businesses in need of assistance are encouraged to apply. If you applied during the first round, your application is still on file, and there is no need to reapply.
North Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation Business Grant Award Process
The North Tampa Bay Chamber Business Grant Awards recognize outstanding businesses within the Chamber’s geographic footprint. The award process follows these steps:
Independent Judging – Applications will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges based on established criteria.
Score Compilation – The Chamber office will compile the judges' scores to determine rankings.
Membership Bonus – Businesses that are members of the North Tampa Bay Chamber or Greater Pasco Chamber will receive one additional point added to their final score.
Award Determination – The Business Grant award committee will review the compiled scores and determine Grant award amounts based on performance.
Final Approval – The list of applicants will be submitted to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Glazer Family Foundation for final approval.
Fund Distribution – Once funds are received, the North Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation will distribute Grant awards to the selected businesses.
